The Struggling Sinner

by SSEKAYIBA BENJAMIN

In shadows deep, where sorrow lingers,

A heart once pure, now stained by fingers

Of choices made in moments weak,

A soul's redemption yet to seek.

He walks the path of twilight's grace,

A weary mask upon his face,

With burdens heavy, sins confessed,

In search of solace, peaceful rest.

He stumbles, falls, the sin embraced,

Then seeks forgiveness, sin erased.

But soon again, temptation's call,

He sins once more, again to fall.

The night is long, the stars are dim,

The sinner's eyes are rimmed with grim,

Yet hope still flickers, faint but real,

A promise of a chance to heal.

He bows his head, confesses sin,

Then rises, strives to start again.

But shadows creep, and he’s ensnared,

The cycle starts, he’s unprepared.

In quiet prayers, his spirit bends,

Very easy for him to fall off the lane of holiness,

But struggles to find his way back,

To find a way where darkness ends.

A journey fraught with thorns and pain,

With every fall, more strength to gain.

Forgiveness whispers on the breeze,

A gentle call to bend his knees.

To rise anew from ashes cold,

A story of redemption told.

For even in the darkest night,

The dawn will come with healing light.

A sinner’s struggle, though profound,

Can lead to grace where peace is found
